A Skin, A Night

The National is just finishing up with their movie, A Skin, A Night. The film is a documentary about the making of their most recent masterpiece, Boxer. The film is being released on May 20th and I believe you'll be able to purchase it at their website. Along with their documentary, they're also releasing an EP called The Virginia EP which will be released the same day as the film. I just got an early copy of it and it's quite excellent. Another success by The National. Check out the trailer for the film below.

What an excellent band

As you know, I dig Vampire Weekend quite a bit and I stumbled across this video while on Youtube. I think it's pretty darn cool, not crazy impressive but interesting and fun none the less, so I thought I'd share it with everyone. Enjoy.

Girl Talk (4.0)

This will be my last Girl Talk post before I go expierence the magnificence of his live work tomorrow. Here's another fun little interview except it's a little more interesting because you actually get to hear Gregg answer real questions without being interupted by an annoying sockpuppet. After all this, I'm at my pinacle of excitment about the show tomorrow. Sorry I keep mentioning that, but like I said, I'm ridiculously excited. It should be brill.

Girl Talk (2.0)

Another excellent example of Girl Talk's live performance. This time he's coming at you from this year's Bonnaroo; the Lalapalooza of the Tennessee. Enjoy.

Smells Like the 90's

You may not like Nirvana and the whole grunge genre, but this movie was revolutionary and should be appreciated. Enjoy.

How I spent my weekend

I was in Las Vegas this weekend and while I was there I got to see this spectacluar Cirque du Soleil production of The Beatles: Love. It's all based on music by the Beatles and I loved it, so I thought I'd post this little clip. If you're ever in Las Veags, I highly recomend seeing it.

Days of Rage (4.0) and (5.0)

I missed yesterday, so I figured I should just post two videos today to make up for it.

This second video was taken at Rage's reunion performance at Coachella this year. The sound isn't great, but it is a really good song and it contains De La Roca's speech towards the end of the song.

Working Class Hero

I just thought I'd share this amazing song by an amazing man. There have been several covered versions of this song recently and I thought people should hear the original. Even though Working Class Hero was released over thirty years ago, the ideas John Lennon expressed through this song and many others are still important and valid today. Enjoy.
